Charging and Remissions
As a school we try to fund activities within the classrooms using our school budget. This will include food tasting activities or outside providers to deliver workshops and WOW days. In EYFS parents are asked for a contribution of 50p a week which will be used to food tasting opportunities, baking ingredients and some specialised resources for themed days.
Parents will be asked to contribute financially to the cost of trips which will enhance and develop pupils learning. The cost of trips is taken into consideration and, where possible, we try to keep the cost to £10. Pupils in receipt of Pupil Premium funding have trips subsidised as much as possible.
Parents of pupils in Year 6 are asked to make a payment towards to residential trip - costs are kept as low as possible for all parents. A payment system is created to help spread the cost of payments.
Where additional costs occur in school these are based around either contributions to fund-raising events (Children in Need, Comic Relief, Christmas Jumper Day) or additional items that are not part of the curriculum (Leavers Hoodies for Year 6, books from visiting authors etc).
If you have any difficulty in paying for a trip, residential or additional item please speak, in confidence, to your child's class teacher or either Mrs Dainty or Mr Green.
